On Sunday 6th July everyone is invited to show their support and appreciation for the Armed Forces at this year's Beverley Armed Forces Day, from 9.55am through to 4pm.
For SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, the day provides a vital platform to raise awareness of its services and reach those who may need support but are unaware help is available. It also helps generate funds and attract volunteers who want to give back to those who have served.
It is important to continue with these days. Public recognition strengthens the bond between military communities and civilians, building understanding and appreciation, and Beverley and the surrounding area has a rich history with the Armed Forces.
Beverley's Armed Forces Day is more than a celebration, it’s a moment to connect, support, and ensure no veteran feels forgotten, while highlighting the continued importance of organisations like SSAFA.
Since 2023, businesses across the region have benefitted from a range of business support and grant programmes delivered by East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC), through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF).
Behind every Kitchen is the Power to bring it alive.
