Gourmet Burger Kitchen Welcomed to Flemingate
Thu 21st July 2016Premium burger restaurant, Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK), has recently launched a brand new 3,756 sq ft restaurant at Flemingate, as part of the 162,561 sq ft retail and leisure development in Beverley.
The official opening was preceded with a special Grill Warming event on July 7 to sample their menu, before a 100 cheeseburger giveaway took place on July 11 to mark the new restaurant opening to the public.
The interior design of GBK Beverley takes inspiration from the town’s cobbled streets. Traditional features like rich oak timbers are mixed with mid-century design pieces, colours and textures, reflecting the celebrated culture of the town, past and present.
GBK Beverley will be the brand’s 73rd restaurant and will create 32 jobs in the local area.
GBK Marketing Manager, Laura Pettingale commented on the launch: “We’re so excited to be open in Beverley and wanted to celebrate our arrival in Beverley properly – and what better way than with free burgers? Trade in the first few weeks has already been strong and we look forward to introducing local burger fans to our adventurous menu.”
Dominic Gibbons, Managing Director of Wykeland Group, added: “GBK’s opening marks another great step forward in the centre’s all day dining offer extending to the evenings to complement the cinema and after work visitors. It brings a nationally known brand that was previously unavailable in our catchment area to people’s doorsteps, and will no doubt provide a lot of footfall to the nearby Flemingate shops and local businesses too.”
GBK follows other recent openings at Flemingate including Riva Lounge, Baytree Interiors, and Peacocks. Leading UK retailers River Island and Outfit are both set to open stores at Flemingate later in the year.
