With 13 awards in total, the annual Showcase & Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in customer experience at racecourses across the country. The awards are held in partnership with Moët Hennessy, Racing Breaks, Great British Racing and the Racing Post.
Beverley Racecourse has been named as a finalist for the Community & Corporate Social Responsibility award, for its initiative to combat loneliness; for the Digital & Social Media award for its Don’t Tell The Lady campaign to promote Flemingate Ladies’ Day; and in the Events category for Bygone Beverley, a raceday that turned the clock back to 1960.

“The whole team work incredibly hard to make coming to racing at Beverley very special for our customers and we’re continually innovating to create a great raceday experience. It’s rewarding to see our efforts recognised by our industry peers.
“Congratulations to all the other finalists. We’re really looking forward to the awards ceremony.”
The winners of the 2018 RCA Showcase & Awards will be announced in a ceremony on November 8 at Aintree Racecourse, the reigning Showcase Champion.
Caroline Davies, RCA Racecourse Services Director, said: “I am thrilled for Beverley Racecourse for their success in being named a finalist at the 2018 Showcase & Awards.
“It is one of the most exciting times of year to see the Showcase submissions go before the judges to demonstrate the care and attention given to enhancing the raceday experience.
“I extend my congratulations to the team for their hard work in securing this achievement as one of our finalists and wish them the best of luck ahead of the awards ceremony at Aintree Racecourse on Thursday 8th November.”
The nominations are the latest awards recognition for Beverley Racecourse. In the 2017 RCA Showcase & Awards, Beverley won the Food and Beverage Award, for the course’s partnership with celebrity chef Colin McGurran and his acclaimed Winteringham Fields restaurant in North Lincolnshire.
Beverley was also voted the Best Value Racecourse in the North in 2017 by members of the Racegoers Club, the official supporters club for British racing fans.
In addition, Beverley has been given a five star rating for customer experience as part of the Racecourse Association’s Quality Assured Racecourse Scheme assessed independently by VisitEngland and VisitScotland. The ranking placed Beverley among the top 12 courses in England and Wales in 2017, alongside venues such as Aintree and Ascot.
