Last chance to see ‘Brick Journeys’ at Beverley Art Gallery
Mon 14th August 2023Time is running out to visit the ‘Brick Journeys’ exhibition, created by Warren Elsmore, which is bringing in large crowds to Beverley Art Gallery.
The exhibition runs until Saturday, 26 August, with free admission, and no need to book in advance.
The exhibition celebrates different modes of transport with unique models, all built from LEGO bricks. Visitors can see how humans have progressed, from the first hot air balloon to today’s rockets, and can take flight with a brick-built airport and wonder at the engineering of the Forth Road Bridge.
Visitor comments on the exhibition so far have included:
"Exceptional display."
"Children loved to make their own creations, great idea!""
"Great inspiration for children".
Councillor Nick Coultish, portfolio holder for culture, leisure, and tourism, said: “Brick Journeys is a fun experience for all the family, as parents and grandparents can come with children and grandchildren. It’s already been a very busy summer at Beverley Art Gallery – don’t miss out!”
Hannah Willetts, Beverley Art Gallery curator, added: “We are very excited to welcome Warren Elsmore and his team back to Beverley Art Gallery, for another year of amazing LEGO structures. It’s the perfect trip out for families this summer, and brilliant inspiration for LEGO-loving adults too!”
