Safe n Sound rated 'good' by Ofsted

Safe n Sound nursery on Shepherd Lane is celebrating after receiving the results of its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery, which caters for children aged from nought to 14, was rated as ‘good’ when it was inspected in December.
Particular positives to come from the report include teaching standards, with the report stating: ‘Teaching is good because the staff fully understand how to promote children's learning. This results in high expectations for their achievements. Consequently, children's progress is good given their starting points and abilities.’
Safety is obviously paramount when it comes to looking after children, and this is another area where the nursery excelled. The report said: ‘Management and staff are secure in their knowledge and understanding of safeguarding matters. As a result, children's safety, health and well-being are effectively supported.’
The inspector held meetings with the owner, manager and Early Years Professional, and spoke with children and staff at appropriate times throughout the inspection, as well as observing their activities.
Parents were also consulted, with the general feedback being that they felt informed and included through regular communication.
