Young artists are invited to submit their artwork to be featured in an exhibition titled Celebrate Health and Hope.
The idea was developed by Evie, a young creative champion, who is part of Community VISION’s work involving young people across the East Riding.
The idea behind the exhibition is to celebrate health and hope and the artwork will go on display on 10th October – World Mental Health Day – in NHS buildings.
Evie said: "We would love to bring some colour into Humber NHS spaces and promote young people’s artwork. This is an opportunity to showcase your talent and get creative!"
Councillor Victoria Aitken, cabinet member for children, families and education said: “It’s great to see a young person developing an initiative and involving other young people. I look forward to seeing the submitted artwork around NHS buildings in the East Riding.”
The initiative is supported by Community VISION, East Riding Council’s Arts Development Service, in partnership with Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
Young people are invited to submit their artwork, A3 or A4 in size, until Sunday 31st August to: Community VISION, Morley’s Cottage, Morley’s Yard, Walkergate, Beverley, HU17 9BY or email it to: detty.tyler@communityvision.org.uk
