Local hairdresser winning an award in America Washington DC at the One Shot Hair Awards

Rick Roberts has taken his talents to the USA and won International Haircut of the year at Behind the Chair One Shot Awards held in Washington DC. Just under 5000 entry’s were received for this one category alone with 25 selected finalists.

Rick said “I have had an amazing experience at the Behind the Chair event with amazing workshops with some of the world’s best educators.  To really top the weekend winning the One Shot Award for best International Hair Cut has been incredible. I have always loved this particular image I created and have received a lot of recognition for it and the award really honours that”

This year saw nearly 304,000 entries from 26 countries and continued the #ONESHOT tradition of celebrating artistry and every finalists’ commitment to the craft, with thousands of hairdressers across the globe competing for a place in the 2019 final.

Rick states “It was a real honour to be judged by the biggest names in the hair industry from session stylists, photographers and celebrity hairdressers.  It was also amazing to present the award for Men’s image of the year and represent Schwartzkopf”
