Unique Salons’ double crowning glory at the Yorkshire Salon Awards

Unique Salons are celebrating double victory at the inaugural Yorkshire Salons Awards. Unique took the title of Best Salon in Yorkshire as well the award for Best Salon for Training in the face of tough competition from leading salons right across the Yorkshire region.

The Yorkshire Salon Awards have been launched to celebrate and acknowledge the success of some of the most creative, dynamic and innovative salons in the region. The awards are judged by a specially selected panel of industry professionals from some of the country’s top salons.

As the Best Salon in Yorkshire, the judges were seeking salons demonstrating top-notch service and being ‘outstanding’ in all areas of salon business.

Unique Salon Director Sharon Windle said “It’s a fabulous result and a great testament to our wonderful team who work so hard to make sure every client gets a truly outstanding salon experience.

Best Salon for Training was awarded in recognition of Unique’s outstanding approach and commitment to training across the salon team. Salon Director Matthew Wordsworth said “Investing in the team and continually developing skills and knowledge in all areas of the salon if core part of the Unique ethos. We want our clients to get the highest quality hairdressing service and the best way to achieve this is to make sure our team members are as committed, hard working and highly trained as they can be.

We want our whole team to be at the leading edge of salon innovation, whether it’s hair technology or customer service, that way we can give our clients the great hair look they want.”

Unique is East Riding’s largest salon group with sites in Cottingham, Beverley and Hessle. The company has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2006, with a reputation for providing great quality hair dressing and client experience.
