The Run With It educational charity has appointed its first ever Fundraising and Events Co-ordinator as it continues to grow and expand its services across the Humber region.
Alison Parker brings a strong background in working with community groups, charities, the VCSE sector and local authorities, having previously built relationships with organisations across Holderness to deliver health and wellbeing initiatives to local people.
Her appointment marks a major milestone for Run With It, which supports learners who struggle to thrive in traditional classroom settings, by teaching them in unconventional, exciting and real-world settings like football stadiums, shopping centres and airports.
With demand for the charity’s work now at an all-time high, Director of Run With It, Lisa Dawson, said it reflects not only their growth, but also their ambition for the future.
“This new role is a crucial step forward for us as we look to raise our profile and meet the needs of even more learners. We’re seeing unprecedented demand, including from special needs schools, and this is about expanding our reach, building new partnerships and creating more opportunities for the young people who need it most.”
Meanwhile, Alison Parker, a qualified marketeer and events professional, said:

Run With It works out of seven locations, including Hull’s MKM stadium, the Flemingate shopping centre in Beverley, Bridlington Town football club, Sewell Group Craven Park in East Hull, Humberside Airport, Grimsby Town FC’s Blundell Park and The Attis Arena, home to Scunthorpe United.
