Haltemprice Art Group members, are gearing up for a Spectacular Art Exhibition in April. The Civic Hall in Cottingham will be hosting the Group’s 76th Annual Exhibition.
The membership of the group declined rapidly, during Covid 19 due to an inability to hold meetings. The one positive outcome was that people turned to art while in lockdown. When life got back to something like normal, there was a new group of enthusiastic artists, looking for a friendly Art Group to join.
The Art Group had an ‘information’ table in the Civic Hall for Cottingham Day, followed by a recruitment campaign in local press, to try to rebuild the membership to previous levels. We were able to welcome several interested artists to our group, to let them see what we were doing. The result was that we now have a much more cohesive group of members, enjoying each other’s company at our Tuesday evening meetings, in Cottingham High School’s Art Room. With an interesting and varied syllabus, we have been producing some remarkable new work.
We now have a wide range of different styles of art, which illustrates the depth of talent in the East Riding. Our 2024 Exhibition was acclaimed by many to be our best for years. We think this one could be even better!

Opening night is Wednesday April 9th at 7.30 pm
Thursday April 10th..10am to 5pm
Friday April 11th ..10am to 5pm
Saturday April 12th ..10am to 4pm
