Shevening Saturdays

Ready to sit back and relax? Shevening returns this Saturday. Watch Aerial Artist Becki McKinley swing from the rafters. Hear spoken word by the brilliant Alison Shaw. Laugh at the comedy of Lois Mills. And, sing along with Singer-Songwriter Just Georgie. Don't miss it! Book here.

Family Sundays

You've heard of Black Beard, right? But, did you know that there were female pirates too? Join Hollyzone History for an hour of stories about the greatest – and scariest – women of the sea. Shiver me timbers! The recommended ages are between 5 and 12. You can book here.

Wellbeing Mondays

She Fest take on the challenges womxn face in politics and society. Hear MP Emma Hardy, MP Diana Johnson and Angela Stone of the Green Party talk about their experience at Westminster and gain insight from Economist, Lucy Dunwell and Activist Zipporah Kuria. Book here.

Creative Tuesdays

Women of Words is a collective of female writers who run a monthly spoken-word event in Hull’s Central Library. This Wednesday they're bringing their safe space to She Fest with a half-hour show of spoken word, prose, song and drama. Book here.

Did you spot ERT?

Responding to the announcement of £1.57 billion arts sector funding, our Artistic Director Adrian Rawlins appeared in the lead story on BBC news. No stranger to the spotlight, Actor Adrian welcomed the funding as a "lifeline that can bring theatres back to life," before airing on the side of caution with regard to the impact it will have on ERT. 

“Whether the funding will come to us, we don’t know. We will have to wait and see about applications, and pray that it does. If it doesn’t, I don’t know what we’re going to do. Our only revenue is ticket revenue, so without getting people through the door, our future is very uncertain.”
