Interior Trends 2

As the sun pops its head out from behind the grey clouds and the kids return to school after their Easter Break, THECREATIVELAB talks interior trends to rejuvenate your home with style and flair.

As attentions now turns to the home and, more specifically, the regeneration and redecoration of interior spaces everyone wants to know what they should be focusing on in 2019.

Influenced by the ever changing world around us, recent trends have a strong forward thinking focus on everything from Scandinavian design that is individual and sustainable to bolder statement colour confidence and full-on maximalism.

So what should you be thinking about for your 2019 interior design?

Well, silvers and whites are out and you should commit to completely redesigning your current colour palettes. The focus is two fold this year. You either want to go for the natural or the industrial.

Whatever your preference you should focus on two key words: “MAXIMIST” & “INTEREST”

NEW NEUTRALS & BANISHING THE STRAIGHT LINES

Over the years interior fashion has increasingly experimented with a range of colour options and this year magnolia is finally and officially out! Instead you need to get your hands on a nice blush pink or pastel honey colour to coat your walls and complement it with high quality, locally produced wood furniture and 2019’s skyrocketing trend of curves, curves and more
curves. Curved mirrors, curved sofas and naturally curved wood furniture are all in for this seasons win!

Natural fabrics and locally purchased are also the go to staple for 2019. From natural woods to local ceramic homeware, if its natural or locally made then you can’t go too far wrong.

DARK & INDUSTRIAL DOESN’T HAVE TO BE DULL

The other massive trend in 2019 is industrial and interesting. If you are not one for pastelle colours then not to worry, midnight blue tones to decadently dark interiors are also a big hit this year when coupled with a range of industrial furniture and interesting statement pieces. If it gets people talking then you are on track for your living space to be the toast of the town in
2019.

You can find a range of interior furniture and stylish statement art and sculptures at THECREATIVELAB in the Flemingate.
