Do you remember the storm of 1987 which Michael Fish failed to predict?
Wed 31st January 2018'If you've heard there's a cyclone on the way, well, don't worry, there isn't" said Michael Fish in a gaffe which has become one of the most famous gaffes of all time when the storm which he had failed to spot turned out to be the most destructive since 1703.
The Barbary Ape Theatre Company has turned this story into a one-man play starring Russell Layton and it's being performed on Friday and Saturday this week (February 2nd and 3rd at 7.30pm) at East Riding Theatre. Michael Fish himself has endorsed the play which is a funny and light-hearted show of one man's version of events of a day which turned out to be a very stormy one!
Tickets are £12 and £13 and available from 01482 874050 or East Riding Theatre
