ERT suspends all performances until further notice
Tue 17th March 2020East Riding Theatre is suspending all public performances until further notice, in order to avoid contributing to the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
The impact of COVID-19 is a critical threat to ERT and to the livelihoods of all those who work in the arts. Most of ERT’s funding comes from people like you, coming to see our performances. Without these performances, the vast majority of our income is gone.
ERT are looking into ways the Theatre can be used as a hub to co-ordinate efforts to help local people in need and hopefully use our online platforms as a source of light-relief to keep our community spirit high. More details regarding these plans will follow in the coming days.
We are determined to survive, to retain our dedicated team, and to get our shows back on track as soon as possible. So we need your help urgently.
Ticket holders are entitled to a full refund and will be contacted as soon as possible by the box office. We ask for your patience in this as we are a small team, so if you have further questions and it takes a while to get through to us then we apologise in advance and ask for your understanding. That said we are asking ticket-holders to consider donating the cost of your ticket to help ERT survive this most unusual situation we all find ourselves in. Your generosity will help to ensure that our theatre stays thriving, long after this crisis is past.
