New Paths Spring Festival cancelled: COVID-19
Sat 14th March 2020New Paths Spring Festival CANCELLED - COVID-19
New Paths Spring Festival have taken the decision to cancel the Spring Festival in Beverley next month.
The decision has not been taken lightly, and until very recently and with the fast-changing situation it has become clear that it would be irresponsible, inappropriate and – by that point – almost certainly impossible to run the event.
All tickets purchased online will be refunded automatically through TicketSource, the ticketing system. Those who purchased tickets in person, by telephone or post can obtain a refund via the box office, Beverley Tourist Information Centre, from Wednesday of next week.
This is an extremely precarious time for all musicians, many of whom have faced a brutal week of cancelled work and face crippling loss of income over the coming weeks and months. If you are in a position to do so, we would be enormously grateful if you would consider donating your refunded ticket money to New Paths, in order that we can go some way to paying our artists a cancellation fee in recognition of their time set aside and the hard work that has already gone into preparing what we know would have been beautiful and memorable performances. Donations can be made through our secure online payment system here:
New Paths would like to extend massive thanks to all who had already put so much hard work into preparing what would have been an amazing festival. They ask to keep the dates for our Barton Arts concert (4th July) and Beverley Chamber Music Festival (23rd – 26th September) in your diary, and they very much hope they will see you then.
Libby and Roland send best wishes to you all at what is clearly a very strange time for everyone, and apologise again for the disappointing news.
