Folklore Wins at TWIA
Thu 21st November 2024Beverley Pressed Flower Artist Wins For Yorkshire & North East at The Wedding Industry Awards.
Beverley Pressed Flower Artist Folklore Pressed Flowers wants a win at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025 and has been announced as a Regional Winner in the hotly fought ‘Special Touch’ category with the aim of being recognised as the best in the Nation. Grace Christiansen says “I was very kindly nominated for the awards by one of my customers and I was so grateful to be nominated, I didn’t expect to win. I’m so pleased and thankful to my wonderful customers for voting for me. I work in the wedding industry as a singer and acoustic guitarist, (Eleanor Grace), and I started Folklore officially last September after seeing so many flowers sadly go to waste at the weddings I was performing at. Its so wonderful to preserve such sentimental memories for people to keep forever with Folklore.” The first step on the road to National glory will be a triumph at the Regional Awards event in November. Here, the companies that have received the best feedback from their clients and have caught the eye of the expert Judging Panel will be crowned Regional Winner in November before progressing to the National Finals in January 2025. “Since 2011 The Wedding Industry Awards has been dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry and this year’s Regional Finalists are clearly at the top of their game,” says Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards. “Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success. Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things. Larger companies and talented individuals compete on a level playing field and the best wedding suppliers always rise to the top.” It’s been a great year for Folklore already. After only launching in September 2023 Folklore has pressed over 50 bouquets and flower arrangements. Folklore has grown so much in its first year, Grace is saving up to hopefully convert her garage at home into a studio to give her more space to take on more bouquets next year, and to host workshops! Grace says “Winning in my category for Yorkshire & The North East was such a shock and has already given my small business a huge boost. It means so much to me that my couples voted for me and their comments helped me to win. To win at the national final would be absolutely unreal and I would urge any wedding business no matter how small to enter, because you just never know!”
