Twilight Walk Encourages East Yorkshire Residents To Shine Bright For Local Causes

Next spring will see hundreds of walkers challenge themselves in support of worthy local causes as the Night Walk returns to the region following an extended absence.

Organised by Dove House Hospice, the Night Walk takes place on Saturday 29th March 2025 with a circular route starting and finishing at St Stephen’s Shopping Centre in Hull from 7pm. Tackling 7.5 miles of Hull’s historical heritage and uniqueness, walkers are encouraged to light the night sky with glowsticks, lights and fancy dress.

Dan Clipson, Senior Fundraiser at Dove House Hospice said, “Many choose to walk in memory of a loved one, while others walk to support a cause or charity that holds personal significance. The walk was formerly known as our Midnight Walk and Starlight Stride and regularly featured over 500 walkers taking part. It would be fantastic for the Night Walk to reach these figures again and help to raise over £12,000 for local charities”.

Charities signed up to take part are Dove House Hospice, Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University, RSPCA Hull and East Riding, fitmums and friends and Health Stars.

Registration is £20 and each cause asks participants to raise at least £25 in additional sponsorship. Registration includes a branded Night Walk t- shirt for you to wear on the day, along with other goodies upon completion of your walk.
