Would You Like To Join Graham Stuart S Summer Work Experience Programme

Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, is asking young people aged 18-23 years old if they would like to participate in his Summer Work Experience Programme.

A former Chairman of the Education Select Committee from 2010-2015, Graham has long supported helping young people into politics.

This programme will run for three weeks in August at Graham’s constituency office in the centre of Beverley. Students will work on some of Graham’s parliamentary activities, and the programme would be well-suited to undergraduates with an interest in politics.

Preference will be given to young people living in the Beverley and Holderness constituency; however all are welcome to apply.

This follows a successful scheme Graham ran last year which gave young people the opportunity to gain an insight into his work. The young people helped organise his constituency visits, created graphics for Graham’s social media, contributed ideas to his campaigns and worked on his website. Since then the students who took part have become more involved in Graham’s constituency work, including supporting him at his regular Saturday morning Street Surgeries.

Speaking about her experience participating in last year’s programme, Darcy Hall commented: “I had a great time on Graham’s Summer Work Experience Programme last year. It provided me with a valuable insight into the work Graham and his team do to benefit our area and helped me to further develop my own skills. If you’re interested in politics and live in Beverley and Holderness, I would definitely recommend it!”

Graham Stuart commented: “I’m really looking forward to welcoming a group of students into my office, and hopefully giving them an insight into my role as a champion for Beverley and Holderness in Parliament.

“As a long standing advocate for young people, I want to do my bit by providing work experience opportunities for young people.”
