Ceramic Tile Merchants shortlisted for national award

Ceramic Tile Merchants has been shortlisted for a national award for “Excellence in Independent Retailing” for the second year in succession.
The tile retailer, based on Grovehill Road, entered the UK Tile Association’s 2014 Annual Awards which, as always, were fiercely contested.
During the last year, Ceramic Tile Merchants put the finishing touches to their new showroom facility in addition to purchasing a new 7500sq ft warehouse close by, which is now fully operational. There was also a big investment in building their online presence.
Garry Cammidge, Ceramic Tile Merchants’ managing director, said: “Despite the continuing sluggish market conditions, we continued to invest time and resources in creating a wider awareness and recognition across the region of our commitment to excellence, so we are well prepared to take advantage of an improving market.”
The company has been shortlisted along with four others but is the only retailer in Yorkshire, The Humber and the North East of England.
The award finals will take place in London on 25 April.
