Etton Road Trod to open on June 10th
Fri 1st June 2018Cherry Burton at the moment has no safe paths. But all that is due to change on June 10th when the new 'Etton Road Trod' opens between Cherry Burton and the Hudson Way at the old railway bridge on the east side of Etton Road.
Funds for the construction of the path have been granted through the EU's LEADER programme (Liaison Entre Actions de Development de l’Economie) and Cherry Burton Parish Council. The work has been carried out by EYRC Highways after running competitive quotes on behalf of LEADER.
The path has taken approximately 1 month to construct - it should be completed by June 8th. So, at 2.30pm on the 10th, get your walking boots on and join the residents of Cherry Burton as Hazel Armitage, Joint Local Access Forum Chair) officially opens the 'Trod', and celebrate with a mass walk along it.
