Graham Stuart MP Celebrates the Community Champions of Beverley and Holderness
Wed 18th October 2023Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, is celebrating some of the wonderful work done for the community by people across Beverley and Holderness.
Earlier this year, Graham asked everyone in Beverley and Holderness to nominate their Community Champions.
Now, Graham is proud to present his list of community champions, each one nominated by their peers.
The local MP has sent certificates to each champion, and hopes to meet them, either again or for the first time, in his regular visits to community organisations in Beverley and Holderness.

Paul Coe Beverley His work keeping Beverley clean and tidy with the Beverley Wombles.
Diane Berry Withernsea For supporting, as a volunteer, the Church in Withernsea in the absence of a permanent vicar.
Lisa Voase, Jo Ramsay & Helen Rawdon Beverley The Cherry Tree Centre’s work with Beverley’s community, for those in need of food, career and money advice and youth work.
Steve Peirson Cherry Burton Being an organiser of countless events in Cherry Burton, including Christmas lights and other events, chairing the Parish Council and much more besides.
Michael Loncaster Molescroft Being an inspirational Head of Molescroft Primary, working tirelessly to create a safe, inspirational learning environment.
Mick Robinson Aldbrough Running events for the children of Aldbrough.
Martyn Eden Hornsea His work with the Hornsea Urban Gardeners, making Hornsea a town which is always in bloom.
Jacky Stringer Hornsea Making Hornsea one of the best presented
John Whitehead Skirlaugh Leading the East Riding Federation of Young Farmers.
Jayne Nendick Withernsea Providing vital care and support for Withernsea through SHoRes – a foodbank, social supermarket, working with HEY Credit Union and much more besides.
Darren England Withernsea Setting up a veterans group in Withernsea.
Joan Gale Hornsea Chairing Hornsea Lions and being on the committee of Hornsea Floral Hall
Harold Jobling Hollym Organising events for the rural community in Hollym including events, agricultural
discussion groups, outings, education days on his farm and managing the regional agricultural training group.
Graham will celebrate their work individually, through his social media, over the coming weeks and months.
