Creative drawing at Beverley Art Gallery
Thu 4th September 2014Beverley Art Gallery is hosting a Creative Drawing Course after the success of its first sessions. The course is being led by artist Esther Nightingale, who has recently exhibited at Creation Fine Arts in Beverley.
The course is an opportunity to get creative and experiment with drawing techniques, whether you are a beginner or a more experienced artist. Inspiration will be drawn from Beverley Art Gallery’s exhibitions and permanent art collection. The group will explore ideas and techniques on display and go on to develop their own work, using wet and dry media on various papers, cards and finally canvas. New techniques will be demonstrated by Esther, so participants can expand their skills.
Previous participants said the course was ‘most enjoyable, given me lots of confidence to carry on exploring’ and has ‘certainly broadened my experience in drawing’.
The course takes place at Beverley Art Gallery in the Treasure House on Tuesday evenings from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on 16, 23, 30 September and 7, 14, 21 October. It is suitable for young people and adults aged 16 and over. Beginners or more experienced artists are equally welcome. All materials are provided.
Places are limited so booking is essential. For more information and booking call 01482 392699 (Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm). The course of six sessions is £50 per person. Individual sessions can be booked at £10 per session.
