Beverley Skin Doctor Invited To Speak At International Beauty Ingredients Symposium

A Beverley skincare specialist and representative of the University of Hull’s Wound Innovation Department has been invited to address delegates at a global beauty ingredients and formulation symposium in China next month.

Industry expert Dr Katerina Steventon has been invited to speak about the impact of stress and emotion on skin ageing by the organisers of Beauty Ingredients and Formulation Asia Symposium (BIFA), which takes place in Hong Kong from 10th to 11th November.

The symposium is a leading scientific forum which focuses on ingredients, fragrances, formulation breakthroughs, and enabling technologies. It attracts R&D specialists, formulation chemists, cosmetic scientists, procurement managers and formulators from all over the world.

Dr Steventon is one of only three UK speakers invited to participate and will be part of a panel discussing The Future of Longevity: From Surface Beauty to Biological Health. The session will explore how advanced formulations, regenerative therapies, and data-backed insights are redefining skincare, enabling measurable improvements in skin resilience, wellness, and long-term vitality for the next generation of premium beauty.

“In my multiple roles as a clinician, scientist, industry expert and representative of the Wound Innovation Institute at the University of Hull, I look forward to sharing my expertise from all my work over the last three decades with the global audience,” said Dr Steventon.

Dr Steventon is a published author with a proven track record of translating skin science into societal impact and commercial solutions. She has pioneered the integration of psychodermatology into personal care, merging skin health with emotional well-being to empower consumers and brands. She promotes facial skincare and touch therapy as a tool for healthy skin and mental well-being.

With 39 speakers from companies including P&G, L’Oreal, Beiersdorf and Givaudan, BIFA 2026 is the premier scientific symposium for ingredient and formulation professionals. It is organised with the Hong Kong Society of Cosmetic Chemists, a member of the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC).
