Beverley Travel crowned UK & Irelands No1 Travel Agency
Fri 28th April 2023Local Travel Agent, Beverley Travel based in Flemingate, Beverley have been crowned the UK & Ireland’s No.1 Travel Agency at the TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies awards ceremony in Birmingham.
More than 500 travel agents attended the star-studded event entertained by ‘80s and ‘90s legends Roland Gift, (Fine Young Cannibals), and Chesney Hawkes.
Beverley Travel received high praise for its outstanding creativity in delivering great customer service, knowledge and expertise with great drive and enthusiasm.
Beverley Travel opened its doors just over three ago, in the Flemingate Centre, Beverley.
On receiving the prestigious award co-director Kelly Cheesman acknowledged the work of her team and fellow travel agents.
Kelly went on to say , "We did this as a team, what we have achieved in such a short space of time is unbelievable, we are very very grateful."
Beverley Travel first won Best Travel Agency in Yorkshire, they were then shortlisted for the overall category, beating long established agencies in both categories.
Karl Douglas said "We are over the moon, having opened our first store on Flemingate in January 2020, merging our business with Kelly Cheesmans business, then reopening after the first lockdown in our current store".
Karl went on to say "We aim to make the research, booking and pre-travel preparations as easy and enjoyable (well, almost) as the holiday itself. We are fully Independent, meaning we offer the right travel for our clients, being Jet2holidays’ top agent in the local area and offer wide range of specialist and tailor-made travel and cruise"

Beverley Travel have great plans for the future, which includes launching their Travel Partners division, so that people can become self-employed Travel Agents and learn from them, having both started the same way just over 5 years ago.
More branches are a possibility, as well as launching an online booking service for simpler travel elements.
