Mayor Presents Treasure Hunt Winners
Tue 21st September 2021Over the summer, a treasure hunt was held in Beverley with all proceeds going toward the amazing work of SCOPE. The Mayor of Beverley, Councillor Linda Johnson, having organised the draw was on hand to present the winners with their prizes.
The winners chosen at random from all complete and correct entries, and three lucky winners were delighted to win the draw, each receiving a £20 voucher for Pizza Rodizio.
Cllr Johnson announced that the initiative raised £168 and will go directly to SCOPE to support their specialist phone line. The phone line provides free, independent support and advice to people with disabilities and their families.
Winners Steven & Phyllis Daly (Spencer the Dog), said: "We are new to the town so entering the treasure hunt was a fun way to explore the area and learn about Beverley... and a good walk for Spencer!"
Kate Frankland and James Hunt, said: "A treasure hunt is a great way to discover what hidden secrets Beverley has to offer, and we look forward to more treasure hunts in the future. Helping a local charity is a win win".
The Mayor of Beverley would like to thank everyone for taking part in the treasure hunt with congratulations to the winners, along with Ali Tecke, owner of Pizza Rodizio, who kindly donated the prizes.
