First Ever Young Traders Market In The East Riding To Be Held In Beverley

Beverley will host a Young Traders Market on Wednesday, 27 March, as part of the National Market Traders Federation (NMTF) programme to support young entrepreneurs to get started in markets and trade in their local towns.

This pilot event is being held in association with the NMTF and will be the first Young Traders Market held in the East Riding.

The young traders market programme is a national initiative that focuses on young entrepreneurs aged 16-30. A judging panel will nominate the best trader on the day, who will secure a place at the Yorkshire and The Humber regional final to be held in Skipton on Sunday, 4 August, 2024.

The event will be held in Wednesday Market in Beverley and will include the regular Wednesday Market traders. It will be an opportunity to come and see what young traders from the East Riding have to offer, including handmade gifts, homeware, jewellery, street food, artisan beverages and bottled spirits. The regular Wednesday Market traders will also be in attendance. The event will take place between 10am and 4pm on 27 March.

Councillor Anne Handley, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said : “I am very excited to see that this will be the first Young Trader Market held in the East Riding. Please do come and visit the market and see what young traders from the East Riding have to offer, and of course visit the regular Wednesday Market traders as well.”
