Communities across Hull and East Yorkshire are being invited to shine a light on the incredible contributions of local volunteers through the Time2Volunteer Awards 2026. The annual awards celebrate the individuals, groups and organisations who go above and beyond to make a difference, often without recognition, by giving their time, skills and energy to support others and strengthen communities.
From grassroots volunteers and community champions to organisations creating meaningful opportunities for people to get involved, the Time2Volunteer Awards recognise the vital role volunteering plays across the region.
Delivered by HEY Smile Foundation and partners, the awards invite members of the public, charities and community groups to submit nominations and help ensure those making a positive impact are recognised and celebrated.
Jamie Lewis MBE, Chief Executive at HEY Smile Foundation, said:
“Volunteers are at the heart of our communities. The Time2Volunteer Awards are a chance to recognise the dedication, compassion and impact of people who give their time to support others. We know there are so many inspiring stories out there, and we want to hear them.”
Nominating is simple and open to everyone. Whether it is someone who has made a difference to one person’s life or a group creating change on a larger scale, every nomination helps highlight the power of volunteering.
Last year’s Special Recognition Award winner, Rosie Bullard, said:
“I was stunned - I never expected to receive this kind of recognition. I get a happy feeling out of volunteering; after retiring as a midwife, volunteering has kept me just as busy and I thoroughly enjoy it.”
The Time2Volunteer Awards are an important date in the calendar for City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP), which is proud to continue its support as Event Partner for the second consecutive year, to celebrate the outstanding commitment, compassion and contribution of volunteers across Hull and East Yorkshire.
Volunteers play a vital role in building stronger, healthier and more connected communities. Within CHCP, and across the wider health and social care sector, volunteers bring energy, kindness and dedication that enhance the support available to people every day. They extend the reach of services, offer comfort and reassurance, and help create a more personal and human experience for patients, families, carers and communities.
Gemma Bradley, Assistant Director at CHCP, said:
“CHCP is delighted to be supporting the Time2Volunteer Awards again this year. Volunteers make an extraordinary difference across Hull, the East Riding and beyond, giving their time, skills and compassion to support others. These awards are an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate that contribution, and we are proud to stand alongside HEY Smile Foundation in shining a light on the people who do so much for our communities.”
