New Flemingate store One Stop opens for all household essentials

At lunch time today a new convenience store opened its doors at Beverley’s Flemingate centre.
The One Stop store, next to the Premier Inn hotel will sell all household essential, as well as newspapers and magazines. It will be open seven days a week, from 7am each day.
The opening of One Stop is great news for local residents having recently learnt that the nearby Co-op store will be closing in April.
The convenience store will provide food and household essentials on their doorstep and will be a boost for the local community and will provide an additional 10 much-needed local jobs.
One Stop stores offer local communities a range of convenience food and household goods at affordable prices. The new store will also sell sandwiches and snacks and offer meal deals for people living and working in the area.
Wykeland Property Director David Donkin said: “It will be a place where local residents and visitors to Flemingate can shop safely for groceries and essential household items, during the current Covid restrictions, and will continue to provide a valued service as normality returns.
“It is also creating new jobs and bringing further investment into Beverley, building on the positive impact Flemingate has had on the local economy.”
A One Stop spokesperson said: “The new convenience store will provide the Flemingate community with quality products and great deals on everyday items.”
