Tesco's Bags of Help open for applications!

Bags of Help is Tesco’s exciting local community grant scheme where the money raised by plastic carrier bag sales is being used to fund thousands of local projects in communities right across the UK. Since the first customer vote was held in 2016 over £159,000 has been awarded to community groups, schools, sports clubs and charities in the Beverley area.
Tesco are now welcoming new applications from the local community. From January, grants of £2,000, £1,000 and £500 will be available for groups to apply for. Customer voting will take place in stores over three month periods with the first voting round being from January to March. Please note that if you have benefitted from a Bags of Help award previously, you can still apply for another project.
