MAGIC AT BEVERLEY RACECOURSE WEDDING FAIR
Thu 2nd February 2017Ice cream vans, Bentleys and Swarovski crystal-encrusted fairytale wedding gowns...it's all in an afternoon at Beverley Racecourse's first ever wedding fair on Sunday, March 5.
No stone has been left unturned in the planning of the inaugural day at the popular Beverley venue. Whilst the racecourse has played host to wedding fairs before, none have been organised by the racecourse itself and the cream of the local wedding professionals have been lining up to appear.
The racecourse has been an increasingly popular wedding venue in recent years, its beautiful grounds and airy, elegant rooms attracting local couples keen to celebrate their big day at one of Beverley's most historic and enduring venues.
Organiser Heather Willis said: "Our intent is to invite the people of Beverley and the surrounding area to come and see the venue as a wedding venue, as opposed to how it is on a raceday which is really quite a different vibe.
"We also wanted to bring together the best local businesses who we put on weddings with on a regular basis to showcase themselves.
"The Christmas holidays is the peak time of year for engagements and so we felt a spring fair was the perfect time to showcase our venue in all its glory."
Visitors will also be able to get up close to beautiful vintage Bentleys and Rolls Royces, operated by Superior Motor Cars, as well as viewing the latest in wedding chic by Jacquelines, featuring Rosa Couture and Justin Alexander amongst other exclusive bridal gown names. Difficult to resist will be Truly Scrumptious's vintage ice-cream van (nicknamed Truly!), and cocoa-dusted perfection by Beverley chocolatiers White Rabbit Chocolate Shop in their range of wedding favours.
