Hull & East Yorkshire Made Smarter is organising a free high-profile manufacturing sector conference to be held in Hull on Thursday 20th March.
The conference will take place at the Aura Innovation Centre in Hessle, a flagship R&D centre for low carbon innovation within manufacturing supply chains, from 9.30am to 5pm on Thursday 20th March.
The conference, ‘Productivity: Gains from Digital Technology Solutions’, will celebrate the success of the three-year Made Smarter Yorkshire & Humber programme, in addition to exploring the various Industry 4.0 technologies as vehicles to drive manufacturing business innovation, productivity gain, and growth.
The conference will highlight Made Smarter Programme’s efforts in promoting and supporting linking the adoption of digital technology as a vehicle to increase productivity within the manufacturing sector.
It will also promote the debate of productivity within the manufacturing sector as the central theme of the recent published industrial strategy Invest 2035: the UK's modern industrial strategy - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
The conference will commence in the morning session with a key government spokesperson to highlight the Government’s Industrial Strategy as well as speakers from University of Hull, Innovate UK, Made UK focusing upon digital innovation and increase productivity. This session will be presided by Chair of the HEY Business Growth Skills Board.
Following buffet lunch, the conference will have a series of workshops covering the following Industry 4:0 tools aimed at enhancing digital innovation and increase productivity: Digital Twinning / Passport, Data Integration & Tracking: A1 and Data integration: Operation Cyber Security: Energy Monitoring / Tracking: Manufacturing Internet of Things: Additive Manufacturing; Robots and Automative Processes.
