Acklams driving forward in 2014

Acklams is expecting record-breaking numbers of holidaymakers to take advantage of their services this year, with 38 trips planned throughout the UK, France and Italy.
Bookings and enquiries so far have shown that coach holidays are very much on the agenda for many local people this year, and Acklams is happy to help them on their journey.
In order to cope with demand, they are also intending to increase their fleet of coaches, with £400,000 likely to be spent on buying new vehicles.
Forecasts suggest that over 1,200 people will be travelling with Acklams this year, doubling last year's total.
Most of the trips are for four or five days, but Acklams is also putting on a special ten-day trip to Tuscany in October.
Another highlight for this year is a tour to Amiens, Chantilly and the Somme battlefields to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the Great War.
Other destinations include the Lake District, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Dordogne and a Perthshire safari.
