October 2024 one lane of Minster Way was closed programmed for for nine months to allow for construction work on the A164 and Jock’s Lodge Improvement Scheme.
On 19th July 2025 the half-mile section of the A164 Lincoln Way/ Minster Way in Beverley will be reopened to westbound traffic - those travelling in the Woodmansey-to-Morrisons supermarket direction - between Ward Way Roundabout and Victoria Roundabout (Morrisons roundabout).
As we look forward to a busy Summer ahead the timely reopening of Minster Way just one week later than scheduled.
ERYC said a footpath would remain closed, with some work still to be finished.
Temporary traffic management measures meant vehicles would be required to turn left when leaving Lincoln Way on to the A164, but could turn back on to the westbound carriageway at the next roundabout.
The Jock's Lodge junction links two of the area's busiest roads – the A164 (Beverley to the Humber Bridge) and the A1079 (Hull to York).
With Minster Way open the improved road infrastructure will enhance traffic flow around Beverley, reduce travel time, and improves safety for all users. The opening of Minster Way restores access for local residents and businesses.
