Do you ever let people have a go in your chocolate kitchen?

Ever since the chocolate kitchen opened in 2007, the first question on everyone’s lips has been ‘Do you ever let people have a go?’

The White Rabbit ethos is all about inclusivity, and opening up the chocolate kitchen to everyone is certainly inclusive - chocolate parties and workshops have been on offer almost since that question was first asked. So thankfully the answer is yes! For everyone that wants to try their hand at making chocolates, then here’s your perfect chance!

There’s not just one ‘hand’s on’ option either - if you want to have a bit of fun and get your hands chocolatey there are chocolate parties, and for those who want a more educational experience there is the chocolate workshop. Both are a chance to learn some of the skills and techniques of the chocolatier, and as you’ll find out, there is more to the world of chocolate making than just pouring molten chocolate into moulds - it is an art, as well as a science!

The White Rabbit kitchen is not the boundary though. Down Dyer Lane in Beverley the chocolate kitchen is up a flight of stairs making access limited. To combat this challenge White Rabbit have developed a mobile kitchen - so you can host your own party or workshop at a location that suits you! All you need is a power socket and a hand-washing facility.

The chocolate workshops have been developed into three stages of increasing complexity. Starting off at beginner level (stage one), each new stage offers more detail of the chocolate making process, so you can build up your skills and techniques as you go. Each successive stage is available to attend only if you have completed the previous stage(s), and whilst a career in chocolate-making may not be for you, delicious homemade presents are certainly on the cards!

In the run-up to Christmas the types of chocolate parties on offer at White Rabbit are being revised. New packages will be available soon, including hen parties, kids parties and birthday parties, making it easier tailor your party to your needs. Changes will be coming online in the next few weeks and months so watch out…

Chocolate workshops are booked per space, whereas for chocolate parties you have the whole of the chocolate kitchen to yourselves. Pop along to the White Rabbit website https://whiterabbitchocolatiers.co.uk to find out more and book yourself a place! So if you find yourself asking ‘Can I have a go?’, the answer is yes!
