Beverley Building Society S Popular Charity Bike Challenge Is Back Again In June As A 369 Mile Yorkshire Cancer Research Circular

It's that time again, Team BBS, will turn into competitive cyclists clocking up the miles until Friday 14th June 2024, for their latest cycling marathon.

This is part of the campaign for its 2024 Charity of the Year, Yorkshire Cancer Research and the 369-mile ‘Circular’ target is the equivalent of three times the round-trip distance between the Society’s branch in Beverley’s Saturday market and the Charity’s Harrogate head office.

Weather permitting, staff will again take their trusty exercise bike outside to boost fundraising and awareness.

In 2023, the response was overwhelming and after match-funding the initiative raised £2,562 for its then Charity of the Year.

Each year, 31,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in Yorkshire so Yorkshire Cancer Research funds researchers and cancer experts who pioneer early diagnosis and discover new and better treatments for people with cancer.

Society Marketing Manager, Debbie Connolly told us: “So many of us are living with cancer or know someone who has been affected, so we’re committed to raising as much as possible. We hope people will pop and see us - and remember your contribution will help to save lives! Donate in branch or at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/bbs4yorkshire-cancer-research
