Dad's Army filming at theatre

The new Dad's Army film is using Beverley's East Riding Theatre on Lord Roberts Road as one of its location venues, with filming having started on Friday 7 November.

Bridlington has been the main base for the cast, which includes local man Tom Courtenay as well as Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta Jones, Toby Jones, Michael Gambon and Alison Steadman.

But they have turned to Beverley to shoot scenes in Captain Mainwaring's office and the church hall.

Road closures are likely to be in place whilst filming is happening.
