Humber LEP Welcomes Today's E10 Announcement

Stephen Parnaby OBE, Chair of the Humber LEP, said: “We very much welcome the introduction of E10 at petrol pumps and the re-opening of the Vivergo fuels plant. E10 fuel offers a quick and easy option to lower vehicle emissions, whilst also supporting our local industry and agriculture.

“The use of low carbon renewable fuels such as bioethanol, produced here in the Humber region is ideal and requires no behavioural change from motorists, who can fill their car as normal with a greener fuel.

“The reopening of Vivergo is also fantastic news for our region’s economy – not only bringing back skilled jobs, but also providing new supply chain opportunities for local farmers.”
