Have your say on alcohol licensing
Fri 10th April 2015Residents and businesses are being invited to have their say on East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s alcohol licensing policy.
The existing statement of licensing policy was implemented in January 2011 and the review process is now underway to ensure that the revised policy may be published and implemented by January 2016, in order to comply with the legal timetable.
The council’s licensing team is now keen to hear views about suggested amendments to the policy which impacts on the licensed trade, together with people affected by the industry such as residents and visitors.
The policy sets out the principles the authority proposes to apply when exercising their functions under the Licensing Act 2003, which includes applying for licences for:
- alcohol
- late night refreshment
- entertainment.
The revised policy can be found on the council’s website – www.eastriding.gov.uk or copies can be emailed, on request – licensing@eastriding.gov.uk
Any comments on the revised draft statement should be submitted in writing to licensing@:eastriding.gov.uk no later than 31 May, 2015.
