Sewerby Squirrels sessions at Sewerby Hall and Gardens this March

There will be plenty of fun activities on offer at Sewerby Hall and Gardens as the Sewerby Squirrels sessions take place this March.
The sessions – held for under 5s and their grown-ups on Mondays during term time (from 10-11.30am) – are based on seasonal events, Edwardian life and Sewerby Hall exhibits. They all include books to read, a sensory area and a quiet corner – plus themed activities.
A garden-themed craft session will take place on Monday, 2 March where participants can come and make an exciting carrot counting game.
On Monday, 9 March, the history explorers activity will involve enjoying digging up the past, exploring the House and making a cave painting.
The Edwardian kitchen will be the theme for the session on Monday, 16 March. Participants can come and have a go at using a jelly mould, play with bread dough and get messy with flour.
Monday, 23 March will make a splash during the sea-themed craft session, with the chance to make a funky sea scene to take home.
The last session of the month, on Monday, 30 March, will be an Easter story activity. Listen to a story, sing some songs and design an Easter egg to take home.
Each session (Mondays 2, 9, 16 and 23 March) is £2 per child (aged three years and older, including one adult) however under 3s go free. Annual pass holders for Sewerby Hall and Gardens can attend for free. Admission counters (including counters required for under 3s) are available from the Welcome Centre on the day, and payment can be taken on collection where applicable.
From Monday, 30 March, sessions are free with admission to Sewerby Hall and Gardens.
