Librarians at East Riding Libraries have announced the overall prize winners of the recent competition for children to design a Christmas jumper.
There were two age groups in the competition : entrants aged 0-6 could win ‘What the Ladybird Heard at Christmas’, a new rhyming book, and those aged 7-12 could win ‘Operation Nativity’, a hilarious tale of the ultimate Christmas adventure.
The winners were:
0-6yrs: (What the Ladybird Heard at Christmas):
Freddie from Haltemprice Library and Customer Services.
7-12yrs (Operation Nativity):
Bonnie from Bridlington Central library.
Children or their families downloaded an entry form and used the template to design their best – or worst – Christmas jumper.
Librarian Jess McCarthy said: “We received some amazingly creative designs, and would like to thank everybody who took part. Congratulations to our two fantastic winners!”
