10 Years and still motoring on

After 10 years in business Beverley Motor Works has established itself as one of the leading independent garages in the area, winning numerous awards for their exceptional customer service.

Founded in August 2010, Alan Lewis and Richard Hayes set off on a journey that neither of them knew where it would take them. They started with just a 6500 sq ft unit on the Grovehill Industrial estate, had only themselves with no customers, and very little equipment, but a huge amount of enthusiasm to succeed in delivering the highest in quality workmanship and customer service within their industry in the local town.

After reading over 1400 genuine customer feedbacks, they seem to have succeeded in this quest.

Celebrating 10 years this month is a milestone in any business, starting in a recession enduring numerous challenges and recently navigating the Covid-19 pandemic, the business continues to go from strength to strength.

Speaking to both Alan and Richard, you get the sense of a very well run business with the number one priority of putting the customer first, a traditional approach in an ever changing world of the automotive industry.

All the team employed are all local to the area, and they have taken employees from apprentices right up to fully qualified and valued members of the team. Their engagement in the local community can be seen with numerous sponsorships with local sports teams and contributing raffle prizes to local charities. They have also offered their services providing work experience with local schools, as well as mentoring sixth form business students.

From day one the aim of the entrepreneurial duo was to offer a competitive rate with a high level of service delivering main dealer experience with an independent price, and the investment into the equipment and the team has shown how they are at the very forefront of their industry.

The next 10 years is heavily focused on Hybrid and Electric vehicles servicing and repairs, again demonstrating a strength from the business to keep ahead of the time. Investment has already been made in dealer level diagnostics, as well as accredited training for the team as they prepare themselves as a business. The future of vehicle repair is changing dramatically.
