Celebrate Pride With East Riding Of Yorkshire Council This June

Celebrate PRIDE with events designed to bring awareness, acceptance and inclusivity to local communities.

To show solidarity and commitment to creating an inclusive workplace, representatives from teams across East Riding of Yorkshire Council will be supporting many Pride events throughout the summer.

The council will be present at the following PRIDE events this year to show support for LGBTQ+ staff and allies and hope to see people come along to join in the fun and celebrate who they are:

๐ŸŒˆ Saturday, 5 July in Bridlington

๐ŸŒˆ Saturday, 26 July in Hull

Representatives from across council services, including fostering, recruitment, adult learning, and public health, will be attending this yearโ€™s Hull and Bridlington PRIDE events.

There are also the following PRIDE events taking place within the East Riding:

๐ŸŒˆ Saturday, 16 August in Beverley

East Riding Libraries will also celebrate PRIDE with a vibrant line-up of events designed to bring creativity and storytelling into the heart of local communities.

East Riding Libraries have partnered with local author, Chris Turnbull, and artist, Rachel Anderson, to bring fun and inclusive events into local libraries, encouraging artistic expression and pride in our identities.

Thanks to funding from Arts Council England, four author talks, Taking PRIDE in All Things Books with author Chris Turnbull and four Make your own Rainbow Tote Bag workshops will be delivered in Goole, North Bridlington, Beverley and Pocklington.
