Small shops wanted for competition
Wed 14th January 2015East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight is urging small shops in Beverley to enter the All Party Parliamentary Best Small Shops Competition.
He said: "This is a great opportunity for small shops in the East Riding to get recognition for the excellent work they do supporting the community, providing a service all year round and creating jobs."
Small shops can submit their application to the competition via www.bestsmallshops.uk setting out in no more than 500 words why they think that they are the best small shop, including details of any innovation in the business, and setting out any community engagement and entrepreneurial activity.
Sir Greg said: "All shortlisted candidates will be invited to a parliamentary reception on 25 February, when the winner will be announced.
