Your Place Comedy in conjunction with East Riding Theatre presents: PAUL SINHA & ANGELA BARNES

Enjoy two of Britain’s top contemporary comedy stars broadcast live from the comfort of their homes, with just the sound of their own thoughts for company!

Join Your Place Comedy on Sunday 30th August at 8pm in conjunction with East Riding Theatre as it presents Angela Barnes and Paul Sinha live.

Angela Barnes 

A frequent guest on Radio 4 panel shows, Angela presented four series of BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack, and recently guest hosted a series of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz. She has appeared on BBC2’s Live at the Apollo and is a regular panellist on Mock the Week. A hugely well regarded live act, Angela is a previous winner of the BBC New Comedy Award.

Paul Sinha

Perhaps best known as a general knowledge expert ‘The Sinnerman’ on ITV’s The Chase, Paul has also appeared on BBC 5 Live’s Fighting Talk, Radio 4’s Just A Minute and his own Rose d’Or winning series Paul Sinha's History Revision, as well as BBC2’s QI and Dave’s Taskmaster. A stalwart of the live comedy circuit and a long time regular at the Edinburgh Festival, Paul is also one of the finest ‘quizzers’ in the UK and is the current British Quizzing Champion! 

The Host

The comedy event is being hosted by Tim FitzHigham (writer and star of Radio 4’s The Gambler, presenter of CBBC’s Super Human Challenge and Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee).

The show is part of an initiative from a group of small, independent theatres and arts centres to both support performers and continue bringing live entertainment to their audiences during these difficult times.

The event is FREE to watch but there will be an option to donate if you have enjoyed the broadcast, with all money raised being distributed equally amongst the supporting venues (including East Riding Theatre!).
