Chamas extends to accommodate demand!
Tue 12th December 2017With people coming from as far away as Manchester, Chamas Rodizio and Grill on the corner of Railway Street and Wednesday Market, Beverley, was not large enough to accommodate demand. So owners Ali and Nicola Tecke have extended the restaurant to ensure everyone wanting to experience their unique restaurant can!
Ali told Just Beverley: "Within 5 weeks of opening, we had waiting lists. As everyone keeps their table for almost 2 hours, to ensure they can taste all the succulent meats which our passadores bring to the table along with the delicious gourmet salads, vegetables and accompanying dishes, there wasn't enough places to meet requests. Now we have a beautiful 100-seat restaurant which should mean everyone who wants to dine with us, can."
Chamas Rodizio is inspired by Brazilian Rodizio, where 15 cuts of meat (8 at lunch-time) are cooked over open flames on skewers. The skewers are brought to the table and the meat cut directly from the skewer to the diner. But the dishes accompanying the meat are equally delicious and available from the 'help-yourself' buffet bar which is now at the heart of the restaurant. There are plenty of choices for non-meat-eaters, too!
Ali and Nicola hosted a VIP event to celebrate the opening of the new, 100-seat Chamas, complete with Brazilian dancing girls and civic dignitaries. We're thinking that 100 seats might not be enough...........!
