Beverley Town Council is bringing colour and cheer to the town this winter with a new display of seasonal planting.

Beverley Town Council Is Bringing Colour And Cheer To The Town This Winter With A New Display Of Seasonal Planting
Winter lamp column and barrier planters have now begun appearing throughout Beverley, including in areas such as New Walkergate, Regal Corner, North Bar, Coltman Avenue, Holme Church Lane and more, helping to brighten up the streets during the darker months.
The new displays follow the hugely popular summer planting, which received an abundance of positive feedback from residents, visitors, and local businesses. The Council is delighted that so many people have enjoyed the floral displays, which complement the brilliant work of Beverley in Bloom in keeping the town vibrant and welcoming all year round.
However, the Council is saddened to report that a number of plants have recently been removed from the new winter displays. Each planter was designed to include two matching specimen evergreens, but in many locations one of these plants has been deliberately taken.
Despite this, the Town Council remains committed to providing these displays for everyone to enjoy. Councillor Alison Healy, Mayor of Beverley, said:
“It’s lovely to see how much people appreciated the summer planting, and we hope the new winter displays will bring the same joy and colour to Beverley through the colder months. These planters make such a difference to the look and feel of our town — they lift the spirits and showcase the pride we all have in our community. While it’s disappointing that some have been removed, we will continue to brighten our streets for the benefit of all.”
The winter planting promises a fresh burst of colour and festive charm to carry Beverley through the season.
If anyone has information about the removal of plants, they are invited to contact Beverley Town Council in confidence.
We hope everyone continues to enjoy the displays and the seasonal cheer they bring to our town.
