Later this month the beautiful and historic St. Mary's Church in Beverley will be full of rich harmonies and soaring guitar solos, as 'St Mary's Rocks' returns for 2023.
The concert, on Thursday 29th of June, features classic rock songs, with music by Queen, Alice Cooper, Blur, The Hollies, The Clash and more - sung by a rock choir of over 90 people, all backed by a live band.
Choir leader, Mark Howley "This is our second performance at St. Mary's - last November we had a complete sell-out and it really was a cracking night - great music & lots of fun. We've got a huge choir, with a big sound, and they're sounding really really good. It's going to be a fun, feel good night - we encourage the audience to sing along and dance in the aisles. For one night only, the rafters will rock and even the angels will sing!"
St Mary's Rocks takes place at St Mary's Church, Northbar Within, HU17 8DL,
Starts at 7:30pm on Thursday 29th June.
Tickets are £12 for adults and £4 for under 16's, with proceeds going towards music therapy project across the East Riding.
