East Riding Storytimes for May half term
Fri 26th May 2023Join East Riding Libraries this May half term for their wonderful Storytime sessions!
Running until the 3rd June, libraries across the East Riding will be offering a range of themed Storytimes and Bounce and Rhyme sessions, featuring stories by Julia Donaldson and David McKee.
East Riding Libraries are celebrating 30 years of ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’ by Julia Donaldson, this May Half Term. Find out what happens when the lady complains of how small her house is and a wise man advises her to invite each of her animals into her house! There will also be a chance for you to find out who’s on the farm, with our special Bounce and Rhyme Storytime exploring Julia Donaldson’s ‘Who’s on the Farm’. Come along and enjoy the story and fun activities as well.
There will also be a special celebration for Elmer Day with a brand new Elmer book, Elmer and the Gift by David McKee. Find out what new adventures Elmer will get up to and join in for a fun filled session!
Hannah Gibbs, librarian, said: “We’re so excited to bring these sessions to life this May half term, and we’re really looking forward to getting involved.
“Julia Donaldson books are some of our favourites for Storytimes, and we’re really looking forward to celebrating 30 years of A Squash and a Squeeze! Elmer Day will also be jam packed full of fun, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our residents.”
All events are free, and booking is required for some of the events.
