Specialist funding event for manufacturing businesses

A free specialist event aimed at manufacturing businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire considering larger scale investment plans will be held next month.
Capital Equipment Investment for Manufacturing Sector (Grants & Loans) is being hosted by the Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Made Smarter Programme and will provide options for those looking to fund their next capital projects.
The event is designed to help businesses access external funding to unlock the benefits of digital technology in raising productivity level, reduce labour costs or to simply keep one step ahead of competitors.
Specialists will be in attendance to walk visitors through the application process and overcome hurdles such as regulatory paperwork when applying for grants and loans.
One-to-one specific sessions will also take place with advisors from HEY Made Smarter, HEY Growing Places Funds and Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.
These will have the purpose of walking through the application processes of:
• Eligibility of the project.
• Providing samples of the application paperwork needed to complete expressions of interest/full application forms.
• What would the grant/loan panels be seeking information on.
• What to avoid/what would be important to ensure is included within the application.
Teresa Chalmers, chief operating officer at HEY Business, Growth and Skills Hub, said: “We

Capital Equipment Investment for the Manufacturing Sector (Grants & Loans) will take place on Wednesday 22 January at The Aura Innovation Centre, Hessle, HU13 0GD, from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
