The East Yorkshire Classic 2016 - All You Need to Know
Thu 7th July 2016The race will start and finish in Saturday Market. The 1.25km course first heads North and turns on to Sow Hill, then Old Walkergate, through to Wednesday Market and turning right onto Lord Roberts Road, with the final stretch into Cross Street and Toll Gavel before finishing. The surface is challenging as always with a mix of cobbles, sandstone paving and tarmac.
It's always a great night for spectators as there are barriers along 80% of the course, ensuring a good view and safety for everyone.
As usual, there will be three races on the evening, with an overall prize fund of £5750.
The Keith Jordan Memorial Circuit Race riders will begin with a rolling start at 18:18 and will begin properly at 18:20, finishing at 19:00.
The Women's Circuit Race will begin at 19:13 on a rolling start before the race is started by the sponsor at 19:15, finishing at 19:55.
The presentation for the Keith Jordan Memorial Circuit Race and the Women's Circuit race will take place immediately after the Women's Race.
The Elite Men's Circuit Race rolling start will then begin at 20:13, and the race will be started by the Chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council at 20:15.
